Michael Psilakis has been lauded for both his traditional and reinterpreted Greek menus and is responsible for putting modern Greek cuisine on the culinary map. Psilakis has been awarded Food & Wine’s “Best New Chef” and Bon Appétit’s “Chef of the Year” distinctions, and “Chef of the Year” by Esquire. Psilakis owns Kefi, Fishtag, and three locations of MP Taverna, with more restaurants on the way. Psilakis was the Co-Executive Producer and star of BBC America’s original adventure cooking competition series, “No Kitchen Required.” Psilakis has also appeared many times on various Food Network shows, such as “The Ultimate Recipe Showdown” and “Iron Chef America.” Psilakis’ first cookbook, How to Roast a Lamb, was hugely successful. He is currently working on his next cookbook on healthy Mediterranean cooking.
